Chrome extension: what data it collects

None. Copy Page as Markdown does not collect, store, log, or transmit any personal information, browsing history, page content, or usage data. The extension has no analytics, tracking, cookies, or accounts. Website analytics are described separately below.

How the extension works

When you click the extension's toolbar button, it reads the content of the page you are currently viewing, converts it to Markdown, and copies the result to your clipboard. That is the entire operation. It happens once per click, entirely on your own device, and the converted text never leaves your browser.

Permissions we request, and why

Data sharing and sale

Because the extension collects no data, there is nothing to share, sell, or transfer. We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, we do not use it for any purpose unrelated to the extension's single purpose, and we do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

Remote code

The extension uses no remote code. All logic ships inside the extension package and runs locally.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
